Smashbox Photo Finish Primer | Models Own Nail Varnish in Utopia | Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in shade In Love with Ginger
I haven't done a beauty post on my blog before, however this morning I thought why the hell not? I love beauty products and trying and seeing what works and what doesn't, so here I find myself now, rambling on about the recent products I have stumbled across.
I'd been looking to invest in a good primer for a while now, as I felt it would make such a big difference in the application of foundation especially on nights out. I've been wearing the Smash box primer on a daily basis and I do find it helps with the longevity of my make-up but does not seem to make a considerable difference in application. This product is hard to judge due to it not being visible on your face like a lipstick or eye shadow. I have yet to be photographed whilst wearing this, and I think I will make a definite judgement when I see photographs from a night out and can determine whether it has helped my skin stay flawless. I would like to try Benefit's Stay don't stray primer in future though as I know it has many raving reviews!
I got this nail varnish free in a little body spray kit and I have to say I am loving it! It is my go to nail varnish for this winter. The pastel purple grey tones are the perfect compliment to cold hands on these winter days! I'm not sure whether this shade is available to buy in shops or if it was just a promotional offer but I would definitely recommend it. The application is flawless as usual with Models Own polishes and quite affordable too, win, win situation.
I bought this lipstick on a whim when watching YouTube videos and seeing a few Beauty Vloggers rave about this lipstick. I really like the shade as I think its a pretty take on a Bright red lipstick but with a slight coral twist, and I had been dying to get my hands on a coral shade! I know I'm a little late to jump on the band wagon as it's a typical summer colour however I had to invest. I love the moisturising aspect of this lipstick and Rimmel is my go to brand for lip products as they feel wonderful on my chapped lips.
(I need to stop my bad habit of picking them.) The colour I'm not to sure of, I just don't feel that it compliments my skin tone as much as a true red, and I think it would be better suited to pale people. I won't be investing in any more coral shades unfortunately.
